Fully prepped for a backlash on this one, but this set is a bit of a letdown to say the least. Why might you ask? Well there are lots of reasons but click below as I attempt to explain, enjoy.
Wasn't Nightwolf's vest blue? I guess they changet it to brown for the reboot game. I tought about him as Rayden's representative in MK3 due to his Rayden disguise in the Friendship. I also remember him as mission control in Defenders of the Realm.
I never watched the zombie episode of Clone Wars, but I recently played its Lego version that included several Alien parody elements.

Yeah, the pics of MK9 I have seen the vest is brown, which is where this figure is supposed to be from. They probably could get away with a straight repaint for the MK Klassics line though.
So leading into Toyfair after finishing up my Favorite 1;18th figures of 2012 ( http://www.zedsjoesite.com/favorite/fav2012/20121.html shameless plug) I figured I would wrap up the week with the latest Marvel Universe wave of figures.
This time around I look at Herc, Angel, Nighthawk, Nova, and Puck.
Yup, I'd say Herc covers the Avenger niche for the wave. On the other hand, if Nova counted as an Avenger for being part of related teams, I'd say Puck too, as Alpha Flight tends to be referred as the canadian Avengers despite being more related to the muties.
I think I already said it once: I don't feel a need for too much artiulation, but when a collection already has some, I expect it to keep it. Abut Snowbird, I'd say the hawk is the better we can get, as I wouldn't expect Hasbro releasing more Alpha Flight members besides Northstar, Puck, Sasquatch and the Hudsons.
Fun fact about Nighthawk: He was in a wheelchair even before bane came to Bruce Wayne's life. Yeah, that's all I know about him besides the Squadron Supreme related stuff. I think the Avengers animated series should have used the Squadron as an homage to the Diniverse, maybe even a lawyer-friendly sequel to the Justice Lords story.
I seem to recall the blue version of that Angel costume came before the red one, but I tend to think on the red one as his Angel costume, and the blue one as his second Archangel costume. Yeah, the return of the feather wings didn't make sense as a "gift", if they were to restore them anyways, then they could have got a better explanation at least, but it ended just as a weird snapback, like the dumb idea of restoring Logan's adamantium. Nice Back to the Future joke, by the way.
I always see Nova pop in some comics but I never see him enough to get an impression. The only version I have seen enough of is the jerk from the Ultimate Spiderman cartoon. Luckily they changed his civilian name, so the hate won't extend to comicbook Nova.
Yup, Herc was clearly put in the Avengers to fill for Thor (he even used Thor's old room!). Maybe that's why he joined the Champions in the first place, to have a place of his own instead of having to leave anytime the Thor writers say "okay, he's available!" And about the Champions: have you noticed that Ghost Rider, despite driving a motorcycle, arrives to the scene at the same time as the rest?
