I don't think so, just trying not to laugh.

DAMartin wrote:Sundance, the second paragraph you got refers to Fraser's chara as Gung-Ho rather than denying (I guess it's a mistake)
if you read the first paragraph it says it's untrue. they're both there on the wiki page.

Shouldn't then the paragraph with the assumption of Fraser as

go first and the one denying it go second?

AnnieM already settled it with the youtube vid. He's just having a laugh and someone got the wrong end of the stick.

Sorry, it's just that I couldn't understand what Brendan was saying. I have already told that my spoken English is not so good...

well, he does say in the video his character was down as 'Gung Ho', but i get the impression he merely got a sergeant's uniform from wardrobe and doesn't have a name in actual dialogue...
this isn't without precedent, Colossus is in X-1. he's 'sketching kid when the kid runs on water'...

OK. He's laughing because he jokingly harrassed the director for a part in the film, just for fun, and then when they started filming they actually gave him a bit-part.
So he turned up and first he was cast as a medic, but they changed their minds, then he was cast as someone else, but there was a legal problem, so in the end he was cast as Gung-Ho. So Brendan looked Gung-Ho up online and was horrified because the figure looked so gay.
So he went to the wardrobe department and just went for the standard uniform, trying to look as little like Gung-Ho as he possibly could! There then started an in-joke on the set that he was in fact the great, great grandson of Rick O' Connell.
The rumour got out, someone took it seriously, got their wires crossed, tied the two together, it mutated into a monster and now in the interview Brendan is having to explain that they were just goofing about on the set. At the same time he's badly trying not to laugh about it.
In the end bit he does an impression of his childhood GI Joe figure which got stuck in a tree when he tried to use the parachute...
I think he's ace. Completely unpretentious and obviously having a great time, if any of that reflects in the movie then it'll be great.

have you seen Looney Tunes: Back in Action? he HILARIOUSLY sends himself up in that, playing a caricature of himself as well as his character DJ
