I think some fans got mad at the idea because they didn't become mechanic beast, but became organic beasts (until the introduction of the TransMetals). However, I just find it similar to the Pretenders (in both cases they are Transformers with organic disguises).

Looking back @ the Dinobots with mature eyes, it seems odd that they look so mechanical...I know theyr'e supposed to blend in with normal Dinosaurs (I'm going with the comic here, never a fan of the cartoon version), but the fact they look like like robotic dinosuars, wouldn't they of sort of stood out?
"Real" Dinosuars may not of been intelligent, but you'd of thought they'd of been spooked by the Dinobots.. as they just don't look or behave natural enough.

Although I bought most Beast Wars videos I was never sure about it some episodes were better than others what I didn't get was they omitted 2 episodes one from each season.

I've only seen the odd episode of Beastwars..didn't later ones sort of tie the story up with Gen-1 in some way?

Sort of, the ghost of starscream was featured as was Unicron who was revealed to be an impostor then it was revealed the planet they were on was Earth during the time both G1 factions were deactivated in the Ark.

i've never watched any of the cartoons since the Movie. i've only seen a few episodes on video at a mate's house.

as for the comics, i read early issues of G2 (standing in Merrets) and read the UK original stories in the TF mag Titan do (standing in work) when the damn thing's not bagged.

my knowledge of G2, BM, BW, MW, RiD, the Unicron Trilogy and Animated is limited to whatever i've read on Teletraan 1.

I have the 80's cartoon and Movie Marvel's G1 and G2 comics plus the majority of Marvel UK's stories bar 2 and some annuals

I've seen one of the newer episodes, Armarada I think?, the animations very good but story wise the old Gen-1's are soo much better..I know people blame the 80's cartoons as being nothing more than extended toy ad's, but the new ones really are 30 min' long commercials nowadays!

I grew up on the G-1 comics.. still have have all the U.K. run excecpt for No 1, & I do mean grown up with 'em..the run started while I was still @ primary school & lasted untill I'd finnished college. The story really did seem to mature along with me!

I will admit I lost track as X-Men and other superhero comics stole my attention but when Titan reprinted the comics I got them but missed out on Time Wars
