Hmmm, it's not in the Black Major's codebook. I think it was the BAF comics who started giving him the logo, Sea Fury it I'm not mistaken.

Ah - Ironblood's Revenge!
Hmm, that looks more like it could be the "GK" marking from the codebook, used on the Shadowtrak and Hyena. Maybe the hat logo is a variation upon that?
