Not sure if that Red Alert can be considered a "Masterpiece" version, as now they are less of the definitive fully-detailed versions and more of versions in scale with the previous MPs to assemble a collection. It's still a good version of the paranoid security chief, but not a Masterpiece.

Well I don't know the exact design philosophy of the Masterpiece team but they do make some good products, even if my club hands break them in 5 minutes

Oooo - I do like that Soundwave! My original one is the only Transformer I could find from my limited amount of childhood ones, so he's a fave of mine!

Oh I wanted Soundwave as soon as I heard he was being rolled out as part of the Masterpiece collection.

He's becoming a bit hard to get hold of now as he's proven very popular, but if you are patient then he is being rereleased as a Hasbro version in Q3 2013 in the US Toys R Us'.

I have to say that I do like him I just have to resist the urge to get all his cassettes.
