I class the Wilder Vaughn flashback by DDP as occurring after the final BAF appearance. All of his Shads were lost (School For Snakes), he had a fortune in stolen valuables (Showdown for the Shadows) and was being hunted by Storm Shadow (Storm Shadow annual strip). Makes sense that he would assume a new identity and appearance.

i don't like the idea of Wilder Vaughn being his real name. 'wilder' is not an English name. i only used the surname Vaughn in my fan-fic for lack of a better idea.

That's a good theory Baron he must of slipped off the radar in the 1990's by changing identity and look ...those wilderness years would make a good story .. continuity is like a minefield sometimes . Wilder Vaughn don't sound very British does it? .more .like a carcrash between Robert Vaughn and Gene Wilder lol Mind you Ironbloods unlikely to a real name(can't find any in the phone book )so Vaughn is likely to be a pseudo name too

i Love the idea of Wilder Vaughn being the black majors real name. The two being one and the same only adds a huge depth to the character and the mythos, DDP did it right when they revealed him to be the BLack Major in WWIII

Well, at least :major: is a nice guy when things go his way.

He got a bit grumpy in :kraken: when :baron: used some spare :shadow: 's for play things. Which was odd really as earlier in the story he was blowing them away whenever they looked at him sideways.
