Space Force Base - Custom build

That'd be really cool, a Z force motor pool, SAS HAWK landing pads, Q force docks, Space Force launch platform etc all in one base. Also an AF briefing room where Mjr Flagg can dish out his orders. Imagine that

The Shads had a pretty raw deal for gear so a base would be good for them too. Ohhh and a Cobra cardboard base. Sweeeettttttttt.

Had these ideas for a large scale diorama when I get round to buying a house with a loft! Had and Idea for the Q force docks but also a jetty for the SAS boat patrols and silent attacks. Each would be guarded / control of entry by a Check point alpha custom. Also the Space force landing area as well.

The diorama would be on L shaped boards with "one part with hills" on it with the Shads ready to strike!

Now I just need a property guide and permission from GF472!

Anyhow back to this thread. a guard Room type building would be good for the entrance to the base. Some sort of Q Force gun emplacement.

How about a training pool for SAS, as seen in Operation Bloodhound? Maybe we could allow room for a plastic tub with actual water in it? Is the mounting card / printout waterproof?

The mounting board isn't waterproof, it only has a plastic coat. You could laminate the printouts first though.

Cool idea Paul, it could be made out of thin ply to make it stronger and fake water will do fine as all the floatie things had wheels anyway.

Would a base made just from card be prefered or on with just a little bit of woodwork (I'd vote for a little woodwork to make it considerably stronger!)

I have an idea for the water section involving a sheet of clear plastic/perspex!

I was thinking cardboard so they can be downloaded, printed and assembled by all.

The other possibility is offering them through the site store - I'd create you a showcase gallery, you provide me with a contact e-mail. People could then order direct from you, you could then supply either unassembled parts or a whole creation. Proceeds would be 100% your own so as to maintain BFTB's non-profit stance.
