It's in relation to the RAF. The Nimrod MR2 fleet has been grounded as a cost cutting exercise a year ahead of the introduction of the MR4A

Page 2, clearly a Triumph TR-7
I can see a lot of similarities between the

& Capt Black (from the Captain Scarlet t.v. show), maybe it's the dark rings around the eyes (in the art work) & the uniform, but also some parallels in thier stories too....both brainwashed & turned evil, all be it not entirely needed as both were skirting a fine line to begin with.
The voice over actor who portrayed Black in the C.G.I based series of Capt Scarlet would make a great

for any

cartoon or audio play, I think.

I still wonder why

will need to brainwash

if he is already pretty evil and working with anyone who allows him to climb the ladder (and being

's right-hand man is a really big climb).
Oh, and other thing: since the "John Sheperd" is technically a changed name to protect innocents, it's entirely factible

's real name to be Wilder... or something
This chapter's color is perfect, no whining from me today

It would make sense to brainwash him into being 100% loyal...I think it wouldn't take long for

to start having ideas of grandeur & make a power play for leadership.

Again cheers for the answer Paul, I'd like to think in this day and age that people can rise through the ranks to officer level not because which school you went too but through been good at the job , ...glad that has changed ..
Always thought Alan Hansen looked like Captain Scarlet lol .. to tell you the truth Captain Scarlet never entered my mind when colouring this .. but yeah the uniforms are kind of alike ..maybe like John Cooper Jim Watson had a stint drawing Capt Scarlet back in the day ..You'll be surprised with the climax of story when Johnny meets the Baron ..it's not like how it's illustrated in the Datafiles..
Not keen on the name Wilder Vaughn sounds a bit Austin Powers for my taste (where would he find time to carry out work for Black Ops and grow his hair very long-?as illustrated in The Devils Due comic for that matter.. possibly within period when he's joined SBS but it just don't fit in ) Shepherds name is a good choice ..like Black Sheep of the family ..for all it's Dragnet intro style intentions The Major will always be John Shepherd to me .. Glad you like the colours this week DA I've had good days and bad days in this story hopefully the good days outweigh the bad ones .
