stkhlmdk wrote:Hey Kraken, have you considered buying the repro-stickers from Cobrastickers.com? I get my USS on Monday and have thought about cleaning it completely including removing the old stickers and then buy that 5 sheet set from Cobrastickers.
I have removed all the stickers as they were a real mess (the deck ones were a real real pain to remove and clean all the gunk from) and was going to repro it with cobrastickers (100$!!) but have decided to make my own and am torn between AFing and Qing it... GOt some nice big ones already done to replace the 99s but still think I might get a cobra stickers set for all the deck markings and leave the others...
I have bought a few repros from them before and I like the quality so depending on how the originals look like when I get the "coffee-table" I may decide for or against.

Btw was it a complete USS with fan-tail rail and all? I guess I may need to find a new arial for mine as Singabeer told me that it was in a bad shape.

I agree - cobrastickers make really excellent repros.

No - wasnt complete, all of the structure was there with a few missing tabs and most of the expected smaller missing parts are absent but there were some surprise inclusions which means I wont have to fork out too much on replacement or repro parts.

Ok cool, maybe we should "hunt" for parts together on ebay.com to save some shipping costs ;-)

cheers paulitoy - im scouring ebay for the parts now, im leaning more towards a joint AF carrier used by all forces as I dont see Q having fleets of jets but I suppose they would be the ones to man it...

my first job is to build a table to sit it on, ive got a pretty big attic room but its taking up all the floor space at present...

It would be great to see I must admit, the work involved would be a serious undertaking.
