Ironblood thanks for the PM. Please see above at no time did I accuse you or indeed Sundance of starting anything. My comment is a mere observation that you and he spend a great deal of time bickering about crap. I certainly don't come here to be subjected to this but hey that's just my opinion. I do come here after a days work in an exceptionally stressful job for a bit of fun and banter. It would be great if all of these guys and girls were here all of the time but they are not. If you read (and understood)what Jim had posted above about the transient nature of forums then you would understand. It's great to have an opinion especially if the intent is to start worthwhile discussion but be careful how you word posts as they often appear argumenative. And that just does nothing for me and perhaps some others too.
I'll stop now.

My intention was never to antagonise people paul like yourself I come on here for escapism. As far as I am concerned ill feeling between me and Sundance festered from misunderstandings from comments made. Wording on forums and on-line conversations can be open to mis-interpretation very easily and quite often.

If this were the house of commons I would now be shouting "hear hear" and waving my papers in the air. I love coming here for the banter and fun, and hate it when bickering breaks out. I'm lucky in that I often get chance to log on through the day when I'm on hold for conferences and stuff, and it's great when a post or a bit of fun lightens my mood or makes me chuckle.

I do have to say this though whatever I said about members didn't deserve the qouted sniping it was things like this that started my resentment towards Sundance.

And that's it in a nut shell. The difference between here and US forums is there is less regulation and less PC. A good combination IMHO. What makes BFTB so good is that most people are here for a pint, chips and banter.
If you check when I first logged on, twas 2003. But I never started posting till last year. I got into collecting again as my kids got older. Time is a fickle thing. My chances of logging in during the day will be severely diminished soon, so things do change.

I remember at one point on here you couldn't put words like cockpit without the cock part being edited as stars regulation like that was going too far. I said to Ross I will be taking a 2 week break from here as my girlfriend is visiting me again. In this time I will work on my story but do need to think about how much time I spend on here I have become a bit of a disruptive presence without meaning to.

Everyone has different personalities, I have a habit of going into things at 100 mph, and it doesn't always help. I also have this chewy foot. Some times our different senses of humour get a bit skewed, a bit hard when you can't see someone's face. AFAIK, The Baron has only ever booted one person, that says something about the quality of people here. End of the day we all look back and laugh (a lot). Its a forum, no need to stress, mate.
BTW, I'm also the kind of person that says what he thinks (to my detriment sometimes) and I've not needed to get sh*tty at anyone here. If the cross beam goes askew on the treadle then the easiest solution is just to back away slowly and don't make eye contact

But with those glasses......

But let's not forget that comparing BFTB to a Joe forum is a skewed perspective, GI Joe is massive. Action Force died twenty years ago. I think we do extremely well considering the nature of the material to hand, for a long-dead franchise we've breathed a hell of a lot of life into it which I am very proud of. Several Joe fans have picked up on what we do and most if not all have welcomed us, but until we can persuade Hasbro to launch a Red Shadow line, we will always be an underground niche bracket - which I have no problem with.
Reading what you say about written comments being open to misinterpretation is a good point, Ironblood. In fact I see now I took the wrong end of the stick with the If comment earlier on, so I'm sorry about that. Ross, what do you want to see with the Custom Competition? I remember it all got a bit heated so I just settled for the simple approach, but I'm well open to suggestions - though maybe start off as a new thread?
And we're still on 499!!! I'm thinking of doing some sort of celebration giveaway* for the next member.
