I liked it too but can't wait to see if the new version stays truer to the mythos than the 80's film.

It would have been better if Mattel, after the Movie, would have incorporated better its elements. Not in the TV series, since it had ended, but in the comics and mini-comics. However, Blade and Saurod just appeared with each other, and never among older Evil Warriors (they had it better in the movie, where they fought along Beast Man and Evil-Lyn). Besides, Blade was portrayed just as another bumbling henchman in the comic... in the movie, he was cool!
To get into the context of this scene, the comic (and othber MOTU comics) is downloadable here:

that live action DoE trailer and the animated He-Man ones are far better than that POS MASK trailer...

I like the MASK one it's a pity it's not in english I would love to see a MASK film even though it would have to be heavily CGI'ed.

The DoE one used footage from other movies and the MOTU one was animated concept art for the real movie project, so we can't try to compare the MASK one to them, but if we see it in its own light, it's good.
Sorry, Baron. No one of us seems to remember Tripods. What was it about exactly? from which year?

I do DA it was a great series and was out round 1985 or so I have one of the books somewhere. The Tripods was based on the idea of what if the martians didn't die at the end of War of the Worlds but had conquered earth.

Oh, that's why it's called "tripods", right? by the tripod-like things in War of the World. I haven't read the original Welles story nor seen the movies, but I know some details.
