been reading alex's post and realised that i too am guilty of not actually introducing myself.

My name is Jon and i Have a large army of red shadows (and confusingly a Q force Deep Sea Diver who is the token good guy) who are currently plotting to dominate Leicester (well you have to start somewhere).

Some i have had since a kid but recently i have finally completed my collection by gaining skeletron who rocks and a Mutron who (lets be honest) is a bit rubbish

Ok I was intrigued by this thread and wondered what was meant by role call..
I'm rich, and I'm from Manchester. I'm usually seen flying around the forums over on Yojoe and began my action force & gi joe obsession back in 1987.
I got my first figures then and they were all the hasbro released uk Action force figures which were carded flint, airtight, crazy legs, dial tone, ripper & dr mindbender.
I never knew too much on Action Force growing up.. I'd missed the Palitoy releases and even some of the earlier characters. For a long time after buying red jackal for seventy pence off a market I thought it was destro, haha.

Anyways.. I haven't stopped since 1987 not really.. I took a few small breaks in my later years around 16-or 18 but only for a short few months.. I'm now 26 and still going strong.

My action force line up isn't as strong as my GIJOE line but I plan to put that right over the next few months.
Finally a note on my member ID. I am Nemesis Enforcer's biggest fan.. contrary to the belief I am not Nemesis Enforcer. I like to army build Cobra La Royal Guards.

I've noticed this is a tremendous place.. and I thank baron for getting things sorted so I could sign in!

Nem, You're Rich!? Can I have a few thousand to boost my collection close to what the Baron has? :P (I know, corny joke)

Anyway, I'm Shogi. I've gotten roped into all this because I colored a comic page :) Really I've been slowly getting into Action Force for the past year so I'm completely new to everything Action Force. Originally I was just gonna try to get all the recolored Joe figures but thanks to my coloring comics and Jamar I now have a need to get Black Major and a bunch of the other Baron's forces.

Hi everyone

I am originally from Scotland (born and bred), but defected across the pond to be with my wife (who is from Chicago). I first starting collecting AF way back in the early 80's and then moved on to the new AF/GI Joe toys when Baron Ironblood changed his identity to Cobra Commander. I once had a boat load of Z force, SAS force, Red Shadows, etc which were all given away years ago :(
Looking forward to taking part in these forums!

FPilot here. From Pennsylvania but living in Tennessee now. Got into Joe because of the cartoon, even though I was too old for action figures by then (but it was either Joe or re-runs of Little House On The Prairie, so what do you do?).

Was more into it in the early Nineties when I tried to write a script for Marvel (about a Cobra trying to defect/retire) and adapt the vehicles and weapons for Battletech. I wouldn't mind trying an adaptation of the universe for Flames of War...but wouldn't want to do it alone. :|

Hi everbody,

Fritz, 33, married w/o kids (but lots o pets), born, raised, and still residing in Greensboro, North Carolina USA.
I'm a jack-of-no-trade, I landlord a house, sell & make toys & art, and work off and on pursuing my degree in education/history.

I got into GI Joes when they were launched in 82; they were my first toy obsession. I received a lot as a kid, having 5 older brothers and sisters at least 10 years my senior, and filled in my collection nicely as an early adult working at Toys-RUs at the end of the original line. I even had a few SAS figs :eagle2: :chopper: :stake: :barracuda: when I sold off the bulk of my toy collection (including all the Joes, and the Thundercats, and AD&D, and....aw hell) in the late 90s. My interests went towards other toys, from around the world; ones that were new to me and tougher for me to acquire (when you find 3 BenGalis in one day, it's easy to get bored). Within the last year I finished my new AD&D collection (Tiamat!!!) and slacked off on my die-cast robots and found myself drawn back to the Joes; first loves never die I guess. Luckily, having been there and done that, I'm by no means a completist and some stuff everybody else wants I have no interest in. I've found I really love having a global variety in my collection; especially when I can represent the same character or toy from as many countries as possible. I've got robots from Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, USA, and Mexico. I've got Joes from India, Canada, Argentina, USA, and the UK.

I'm into toys, history, eastern religions, mythology, music (punk, metal, hiphop, jazz), pro wrestling, and a lot more.

Always ready to talk toys or trade, and really excited to be on the board.
