No its not, but I recommend it,

88 dollars is a small price to pay for our shadows to come back and Im willing to give it to the Club just to show my support

just to give everyone an idea check this link and find the registration packages for the transformers convention

if you look at the IACON package youll see that you can get it as a non member or member and how much

if you join as a member youll get the discount on the package as welll as the free club (yearly )figure as well ,so the club membership fee will pay for itself if you join


again this is the TRANSFORMER convention ( which is done by the same people who do joe) and its usually the same for the JOE convention

I signed on with the casual observer (trooper) rank, but TBH I don't get enough Joe stuff to warrant much else. Most of my reddy's seem to be going on Palitoy era stuff. Does that mean I have a reverse Hisspank problem?

I know what you mean about not buying much joe stuff the only thing I have bought in the last 4 years is the new glenda inspired repaint of scarlett ala Pilot scarlett, the new 25th editions of her south american buddies/enimies satan and ninja ku and then a few Action Force stuff

other than that I havent and dont buy joe toys anymore.

I will buy this though and ill throw extra money into it too because this is by far the cheapest way to get our shads back ! doing our own figures would cost us 1,000$ of dollars!

theres usually a loose set that people can buy as well and a lot of people DONT get that extra set so Im asking around to see if anyone doesnt want that extra set

the sad thing is, there are some figures that are only available to convention goers so expect to pay a high price for those few figs that are only available to the con goers!

So this is what i think the hints refer to

2009 3.75" convention set hints:

"Imagine something old and something new,
Something foreign and nothing blue."

this is a general hint and refers to the RED SHADOWS IN GENERAL

"I see my image reflected back,
And who is that person not wearing black?"

this is the BLACK MAJOR

"I am you, and you are me,
That's why we have our own army."

THIS IS BARON IRON BLOOD

this is the RED SHADOW TROOP BUILDERS that we will be getting

Where did you find the hints on the 2009 convention?

um NOT in the shadows??

I think the hints could point to a few things, shadows included but not sure if I want it to be red shadows or not...

Hmmm - it's NOT the Black Major... This is more likely a new and old Red Shadow

Again it means two of the same 'thing' (ie Shadow) but old and new - the new shadow and old shadow figures are I am you and you are me

I think it's a classic and IDW Red Shadow set, though it could be classic Red Shadow and Vaughn, or new Red Shadow and Vaughn
