SAS Trooper, SAS Paratrooper & Grenadier Guard.

The Paratrooper is badass and perhaps the most fiddly toy to have ever been made!!!

Has the Paratooper actually got a chute in his backpack?

I've just found my bag with my original SAS Action Man in it - be putting him together very soon.

yeah it does, that's part of the real fiddly bit, hooking the elastic band through all the harnesses, folding up the parachute and then hooking the elastic band over that onto the top of the harness to hold it all in. Very painful and unforgiving, but very cool result. The parachute is massive though :)

Dave, I'm totally with you on the 40th anniversary Action Man.

My finger has hovered over the buy button for this for the last 3 weeks:

It's not a matter of 'if', rather 'when'.

It's just like I felt 2 years ago when the vintage Star Wars collection was complete and I started looking at Action Force stuff.

I know once I get one, it'll be a mission to complete the first series cardback like airedevon1, although
hers are the real deal rather than 40th repro's:

Gahhh... Noooooooo. I put my AM on hold whilst I build my AF guys up. Can't afford two vices at once. I have been repairing my old Toltoys AM and gear. That bugger is about as rare as AM gets. We spent a huge amount of time together when I was a lad. Digging trenches on the farm, driving his DUKW around looking for chicks....

That SAS stuff is bloody awesome guys.

Have a look at this guy;

Now THAT'S cool. Newer AM too. Sigh.

Dave, thanks. I should pull finger before the 40th stuff stops for good. When I was a kid I didn't get a lot of stuff because I thought it would be on the shelves forever. Boy did I learn.

Don't go there, Dave. Airedevon wins hands-down.
