comedy doesn't always travel well, don't take it personally. i've read jokes online from German comedians and 99% made me go 'huh?'

Well, the joke was supposed to be a pun; the mosquito has your blood because he sucked it, but it sounded as if the "blood" mention was stating the mosquito was a relative, hence the reason for not killing him. Does somebody know if is there a way to make the pun work?
