More akin to military banter and you need to thick skinned for that! The token jock got it thoughChopper wrote:So was my reply.Too dry even for a Pom?

When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Oh good, its not just me, Paul. Krackers, is Nottingham more metropolitan than Derbyshire? I have visions of tight pants, forests and sheriffs.
Let me tell you, Gunner La-De-Dah Graham, the British Army can fight anything! Intimate or not!

I'm working in Belper at the moment Matty!... It's a beautiful little town isn't it. What's brought you over the border, work or play? The Kraken Wakes wrote:Im IN Derbyshire but don't live here. Lovely Belper.

Mornington peninsular in Melbourne. About 45 minutes from the CBD. Close enough for me. You can still see the city (and the cosmopolitan f*ckwits) from the beach. Took this pic two weeks ago out running.

Stark contrast to my homeland (Mount Doom).

BTW Paul, I will be in Edinburgh in June. Well, its colder southern namesake, Dunedin. Watching Wales get flogged
.
So what are the highlights of Derbyshire?

Re: What to do?
That's crazy! To answer yours and Chops question it is a lovely town. Just the right side to feel like you know quite a few people but still enough to do / see. I work here at Courtaulds in the offices above the hosiery factory (we don't make any in Lincong green unfortunately) so commute on the train every day from Nottingham. Nottingham I love too, again like Belper its just the right size for a city and is great for a night out.Lavenderlad wrote:I'm working in Belper at the moment Matty!... Cracking photo's MArk would love to visit both areas at some time. Emma's DVT history precludes long haul flights though and not sure she would let me loose on my own.......
