Apparently Garth from Waynes World was in the Blue Thunder TV series. And yep Hightower was in it as well.

I vaguely remember Hightower and the SWAT type van he had wasn't Roy Schneider replaced in the series by someone called Ed Farentino or something like that?

I'm a fan of both the super 'copters, no doubt Airwolf's more aesthetically pleasing to the eye..but Blue Thunder looked like a much more practical & realistic design for a real life combat helicopter, but that's just to my untrained eye.

probably because Airwolf was a Bell Model 222 civvy chopper and BT was a French Aerospatiale Gazelle military helo

Bit like the A-Team in the fact that they never killed anyone though, all that weaponry and they couldn`t hit a barn door at 10 paces.

always used to make me laugh how the A-team could shoot down a chopper that would then crash into a mountain blow up at the bottom, and by christ they all get out of it,
