Veering back on topic (I'll deal with you later, Irony)...

It seems that all of my font variations weren't the issue, it was the high contrast of the black background causing the problems, so it will be staying white, as was voted.

I was very unsure about the pale background at first but it has grown on me after a few days. I particularly like the way it illustrates the trans-gifs in the galleries.

have to say the background printed onto some nice fabric would make an excellent set of curtains for the toy room.

TKW, The forum skin takes up most of the screen, but the background should be visible along the header and when you get the "post submitted" screen.
