Good point Jonesy! Baron, can we delay the relaunch until I manage to find the remaining few items I'm after? Perhaps a year or so? Plllllllllleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaseeeee?

Or failing that i'll have to start on the Viking Lego?

Cant wait to see it all. Hopefully the new stuff will bring in some more of the Joe guys into the fold too?
Really? Its bad enough with the US collectors pushing up the prices as it is. We don't need more of them knowing about Action Force.
yeah, maybe you should just shut the site down & burn all the evidence!
everyone else WANTS more publicity, i thought the whole point of this + the colouring project was to gain exposure for action force.
i guess you cant keep everyone happy! maybe there should be a total ban on anything joe related, then you could keep out all those evil americans!
if AF hadnt merged with g.i. joe the line would have finished sooner & probably wouldnt be so memorable......
dont get me wrong, im on the side of AF, just not so single minded......

Initially I was the same Jonesy. But since I've started doing the cataloguing of post BAF era AF figures, I've developed a renewed interest. Tho I'll be collecting the original stuff first and foremost, if I stumble of some later guys I'll grab them. In fact since I started doing the lists my collection has tripled, not just Palitoy either.

I'd just like to add that I'm very grateful to everyone here who has helped rekindle my interest and also helped get thing's I'd previously considered unobtainable into my collection.

I'm disappointed I can't help you Pomgolian's out with your collections as much as I wish I could. AFAIC if I have something that anyone here can use ( no, not my Minesweeper or Red Laser ;) ) you're all welcome to it. The generosity and just general tom-foolery makes it well worth while, you can't beat that. I happily give up my time to do the catalogues, colouring etc because Jim, you and the BFTB lads deserve it. If that's what I can offer, I will.

Anyway, cheers Lads (and lady)

Blood for the Baron.

awwww shucks, group hug everyone!!!

As before, I'm only really interested in Palitoy era, as so much time has been devoted to research there and more interesting and diverse as a toyline too. I do like some 87 onwards stuff, but it's just not where my heart is.

Prices sadly go up, the same happened with Star Wars as anything non US Kenner suddenly commanded a higher premuim in the last 5 years. It's got to a point where the difference between a Palitoy or a Kenner logo on the packaging can be £1,000.

However, for what it's worth, as a toyline it's well overdue, almost every other toyline has increased in some form or another, but the availability of Muton's in The Entertainer for £2 up to a couple of years ago shows that the growth has been minimal. If anything the gap between the readily avialable and the desirable will grow further apart.

Dave.

I guess you are right Dave. I grew up with Toltoys stuff, I'll bet a pound to a penny even you don't have an original MOC Luke Skywalker farmboy 12 back Toltoys figure, or a MOC Action Man Stalker figure? They grew on trees when I was a lad. If I'd known now what I know today.....

I find it ironic that the figures I have, if they were MOC, would be amongst the most expensive of all. As the comic bock guys says, "You have opened it, therefore it is worth .... nothing".

Sigh

Mark

PS does the new site go up in a hour? Its 11pm here. ;)
