Forgive my ignorance as I don't know much about Zoids, but are they Big in japan? I liked the Mavel comics story, and only had around 4 or 5 of the smaller toy's, I used to play with them with my HO/OO airfix soldiers & Matchbox tanks..
Was they a back story to the Japan toy line, like Transformers?
Transformers didn't have a back-story in Japan originally. they were just robots that turned into cars and actually had pilots. or, at least some did, since Hasbro mixed up toys from 4 different lines to create the first G1 transformers...
as for Zoids, (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoids) wikipedia is your friend.

wonder how much Action Jacks go on E-Bay (a few years before Action Force..they were kind of like mini Evel Kenevils ..wonder if anyone remembers them?) Viz Force now that would be great lol .. The Parky (a psychotic park keeper) was always my favourite lol.. but Biffa total classic (kind of reminded me of "The Jocks and Geordies" which was a great non p.c comic strip in the Dandy )

ha!!! yes!!! I used to use the tail gunner piece from my scorpozoid for that. You could add a rader dish and a cannon on the side, but used to use it for exactly that

I bought that and DZ-01, DZ-02, DZ-03 and DZ-05 for a couple of hundred quid several years back. To my dismay they were nothing like the picture on the box!
That looks amazing, sorry it didn't live up to it after grafting for it

Not to worry. My point was that the skimmer used in the comic actually exists - it's near the middle at the bottom of the box photo.
