I do have Season 1 of War of the Worlds but I have no way to copy it for you. I bought it off e-bay a month or so ago for I think $12 (US) shipped. If you have patience someone will list one without a buy it now and they usually go for a song.

I didnt realise it had been officially released so assumed you must have downloaded, thanks for the info, ill keep my eye out for a copy.

It took me YEARS to get Flash Gordon's Trip to Mars on DVD. The first and third series were released ages ago, but not the second for some reason. I wound up ordering it from The States. "Buster" Crabbe was perfect in the role... and they brought him back in a cameo as Gordon in the 1979 version of Buck Rogers. They didn't call him Flash though..., maybe because of copyright reasons or something.... The story was called Planet of the Slave Girls!?!?

i think I vaguely remember something about this.
also glad someone mentioned Golden Monkey. I have asked everyone if they remember this but no-one did.
thought I'd imagined it
Tales of the Golden Monkey was great, especially if you are an Indy fan. Buster Crabs Flash Gordon is also on my todo list. When it comes to DVD's you should see my done list;-)

Planet of the Slave girls, S01E02 of Buck Rogers, going cheap on DVD and also on that damned todo list. Hmph.

Glad to see Tour of Duty, The Muppet show and MASH getting a mention too.

Did anyone see Chelmsford 123? Or Did I imagine that too?

Chelmsford 123 - written by Rory Mcgrath and Jimmy Mulville. Never officially released on DVD but there is a chap on ebay who sells copied, er... copies of it - very poor quality as burned off old videos and they've got the UK Gold logo in the top corner but still fantastic.

Kids In The Hall - Canadian sketch show, used to be on Channel 4 late nights in the 90's. Bit off the wall, they did a movie of it too.

Newman and Baddiel, and Mary Whitehouse Experience. When I was 15 I could go whole days quoting that and saying nothing else.

ST DS9 - I'm with the Baron on this, best ST, nothing to do with Siddig El Fadil of course ;)

First series of Peep Show

Red Dwarf, but only up until they brought Kochanski back. All the episodes after that are crap. It's like when a really good band gets a new keyboard player and they're never quite the same afterwards

Family Guy

lately, Big Bang Theory - I didn't want to like it, but I do. I didn't want to fancy Sheldon, but I do.
On touching the trig point, I found my thrill
To the east Brokeback Mountain, to the west, Benny Hill
I'll give you the grid ref, you might like to go

Joe Straczynski was alledgedly in deep discussions with Paramount over the launch of a new show concerning a space station with a number in its name, whereby the space station would be situated near a vortex which would draw warring factions into a focal point, causing all sorts of political tension and espionage, resulting in the crew utilising a technolgically advanced warship by the third year.

After some time, they alledgedly passed on the idea.

He then went to Warner Brothers and successfully pitched his idea, Babylon 5.

Just as the show went into production, Paramount announced the launch of a new show concerning a space station with a number in its name, whereby the space station would be situated near a vortex which would draw warring factions into a focal point, causing all sorts of political tension and espionage, resulting in the crew utilising a technolgically advanced warship by the third year, in a series called Deep Space Nine.

Alledgedly.

Just waiting on one more parcel to complete my collection of Buck Rogers figures!!! Can't wait!!!

As for shows, the Avatar might give away one of my faves (Up Pompeii - still makes me laugh to the stage of tears now) but also the Dukes of Hazzard was (and is) a HUGE favourite, always loved Buffy and got well into Angel long after it finished, big fan of Highlander the TV Series (although it got a bit repetitive), Magnum PI was ace, we all loved the A Team, Buck Rogers, Red Dwarf, Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, the list is endless, depending on the stage of my life I was in!

Never got into Star Trek in any of it's guises, but can see why people did, as I enjoy an episode when i catch one these days, and I never got into the new Battlestar Gallactica depite loving the original show - I turned the pilot show off in digust the Starbuck was a girl, so never really gave it chance, which I'm now thinking may have not been giving it a fair crack of the whip!

Cartoons wise - Battle of the Planets, Thundercats, HeMan, Dungeons and Dragons, Spiderman and his Amazing Friends - basically anything from when i was a kid holds a place in my heart!

I'm more a Major Kira fan myself. Closer to my height for one thing! Ezri Dax too - Shorter & cuter!

Whenever Star Trek series' get rated, people rarely mention the animated series. I love the ST 'cartoon' and place it second after the original in my list of 'favourite Treks'.
