Jimbo,
Nice to see it`s gone to a AF fan who`ll put it to great use & if you ever get the change for a 2nd one, grab it mate,as then you can transform it a little closer to scale by body extention, which is why I was thinking of going for it.
A fellow customizer (Tomd) in the US did it to his & WOW what a difference. It`s nice as it is,though 100% better if extended.
Box,
As said mate didn`t single you out mate & sorry you took it that I had, was`nt the intention.

no hard feelings honest
Thanks one and all...hey, I've got broad shoulders honest but just with wanting to trade a bit more and ebay I'm wary about comments that could put people off bidding and selling, etc.
Jimbo, glad you're happy too
I'd searched for months to find that one, inspired by the cobra troop carrier that I've seen earlier....but i decided to flog it as it probably is quite a big project for a mere beginner. Haven't seen any more since, although ELC do the same model dressed up as a dino hunter but I think it's a lot pricier.

Hmm, great offer, Dune Echo, would there be a saving on shipping them in bulk, do you reckon? we could all get one.
Chap Mei seems to have been replaced by BBI (Blue Box) here's the latest range: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bb_menu.asp

Dune that is a great offer mate, though unless a bulk buy was done to keep shipping down,I think we`d be each paying a tidy sum on shipping alone,i`d guess for 1 helo, something like $20-35 for Airmail insured.
If surface shipping, well just remember they DON`T Insure surface.
Though if a bulk shipping was achievable with discount & moreso there was a BULK order which is key part this could work
Though also if you could get the V-22`s too, well that may make this even moreso a worth while venture.

Awww LJ. Do you know if you have the V-22 OSPREY over in Holland?
It`s not you know (insult using Chap mei in AF terms).
Once the Chap mei stuff has been customized either with just a paint job or even reworked somewhat they do lend themselves very well to the AF/Joe/MILITARY World.
Also Chap Mei have done some vehicles that No one else is making ...yet & are actually based on Real Military hardware

Yeah but here I have to stand by LJ, unless this "Chinook" was stretched and fully painted with a few other mods it's not hardcore AF material... in fact it looks like everything
weren't; in fact, wasn't that the very reason we bought 'em back in the good old days instead of stuff like this?!?!?!?
Chinook crew sometimes get near 1:36 scale models trickling down from Boeing, one of those might be modded to be near perfect SAS Long Range Assault Chopper...
I remain, Sir, the always heretical Luther Muller etc.

Not sure... Have to take a closer look. Already did see all the regular items, like tanks, helicopter, patrol boats, etc. A-10 lookalike is also pretty common. Will visit a TrU soon, I think I saw them there once.steel bonnet wrote:Awww LJ. Do you know if you have the V-22 OSPREY over in Holland?
Aye Steel, I know what you are saying. I really love the customs I see here. Especially Jimbo has created a couple of neat customs that made me think: "Why did Palitoy never come up with these things?"steel bonnet wrote: Once the Chap mei stuff has been customized either with just a paint job or even reworked somewhat they do lend themselves very well to the AF/Joe/MILITARY World.
But Chap Mei is and will remain plain crap! It is too different from the quality we got in the 80ies. You can repaint it, you can rework it, and still it is Chap Mei crap. I agree with Quickfire. (1) The chopper needs a hell of a lot of rework to slighty fit into the AF universe. (2) In the eighties there were numerous b-toylines, but we wanted AF. Why do we want to change inferior rubbish into AF?
I'm not familiar with bulk shipping to the UK (actually, I'm not familiar with shipping to the UK in generalThe Baron wrote:Hmm, great offer, Dune Echo, would there be a saving on shipping them in bulk, do you reckon? we could all get one.

Yeah, that is quite a bit.steel bonnet wrote:Dune that is a great offer mate, though unless a bulk buy was done to keep shipping down,I think we`d be each paying a tidy sum on shipping alone,i`d guess for 1 helo, something like $20-35 for Airmail insured.

I did not know that. I figured it would be best for everyone to get insurance just in case. :-\steel bonnet wrote:If surface shipping, well just remember they DON`T Insure surface.
Well, I'm not a dealer, but if I could get 4-5-6 of these, then I could probably fit them in a big, big box and ship it to any designated location in the UK and then maybe someone could disperse it from there?steel bonnet wrote:Though if a bulk shipping was achievable with discount & moreso there was a BULK order which is key part this could work
Those I have not yet seen, but I'll be happy to post here if anyone else is also interested and I see them.steel bonnet wrote:Though also if you could get the V-22`s too, well that may make this even moreso a worth while venture.
