One, is just if you're using it, and it's synonymous with your product, you can claim it as your trade mark, and try to stop others using it. That's when people put "tm" after stuff. S better level of protection is afforded by applying to have a trade mark registered. If granted you are granted it in certain areas you apply for, such as, say, toys. That's when you get an "r" or "reg tm" after stuff. Most companies protect their tm by registering these days. So, say, you couldn't register "action force" as a reg tm in toys - already taken, but you might be able to register action force as a tm in, say, medicine! Bizarre, I know!
Weird but true, like how the Beatles take Apple Computers to court everytime they add something to iTunes as Apple Corp (the Beatles) trademarked Apple for music and films and so on and Apple Computers have moved into that territory but don't have the trademark rights to use the Apple (Computers) brand for music, etc.

:muton: I wonder if Hasbro has any of the Palitoy toys at there headquarters, I think that they said they have old GI Joes there on display in Pawtucket Rhode Island.

So, as I have been promoting the Action Force line and using the logos for the last seven years, does this mean that I now own the IP?

The figure is a very good modernisation of the original and I really like it but it just seems no thought was applied to weapon. Alot of Joes weapons are pretty naff but this is one of the naffest!

Doesn't bother me at all, I always thought the original bazooka was rubbish. All of my figures are kitted out with Marauders AK47s.

Shads should carry some form of Kalashnikov, I agree. whether it's the old -47, the middle -74 or the newer -103...

Must admit I always did think that the bazookas were a bizarre choice to have as their sole weapon. This new weapon though reminds me of something you might see someone injecting cavity wall insulation with! Totally unrealistic and like I said it has the could'nt be arsed factor!
