Went to Hong Kong when I was a lad, I recall the Lee Kee Boat Company. Correct pronunciation of Wh, in Maori, sounds like an F. Whaka is VERY common in names in NZ.

no, I've never left the USA (except to Ontario Canada which barely counts as another country)

I just wondered because I work for the customs broker arm of FedEx and we process hundreds of shipments a day coming out of Hong Kong. I recognize Kowloon as the origin station for much freight as far back as my first day on the job, it seems to me like that's a huge hub of shipping and shopping activity in HK. I don't recoginze the name of the city you live in but I'm sure I've seen in the shipping docs a couple times at least too.

I am from the Isle of Man home of the TT races but came from Wigan in the North West of England originally.

Hi everyone, glad to have found this place.

One day when I was 9 or 10 years old a mate of mine came round to play with the Night Patrol and Arctic Assault figures in his pocket. From then on I was hooked. I was later mesmerised by the Red Shadow figure and until reading BAF thought it was a unique character (like the Baron and Major) rather than a standard enemy soldier. Looking back at the wave 2 stuff I love the clear identity given to each force, especially the Enemy.

Built up an almost complete wave 2 collection, with some 1 and 3, mainly thanks to:

1) a very soft mum.
2) an excellent local toy shop with a full range.
3) the local paper shop owner letting an under 13 do a couple of paper rounds.

Gave the whole lot to my much younger cousin when I was 18. I hope he enjoyed them as much as I did. I have no idea what happened to the Battle Action Force collection and was chuffed to bits to discover the AF stories scanned and coloured here.

Have to say that this site is excellent in both depth and detail. I first stumbled on it by accident a couple of months ago when trying to show the kids my favourite toys. My 8 year old son has since kept asking if he can get a Shadowtrak and Escape Armour. I'm quite taken by the fact that he's picked out those two items above possibly more exciting and larger things, such as the ATC and Hovercraft, or even the 25th anniversary GI Joe stuff in the shops here in Canada - take note Hasbro, there might be a current kids market for the wave 1 and 2 Palitoy moulds!
