I'm trying to get one each of every different pose, I think there's a couple more to go.
When I started I hadn't realised there are a couple of series of G.I's & Germans to keep an eye out for. The poses are pretty much the same but I think the later issues are simplified one piece mouldings.

Thanks I'll make list of what's missing

Afrika Korps & 8th Army are proving hard to find in the wild.

O.K. I can do this :-D

Going by the above list there's 3 more I'd like to find.

Series 2 German kneeling firing rifle
Series 1 G.I.'s: Standing firing rile, Holding raised rifle.

All of which should be easy & cheap enough to find.

Afrika Korps & 8th Army are hard to find in the wild (limited production run?) with average toy fair prices being above of my £2 to £3 per figure budget but, as with the Jap's, I've no real childhood associations with them so aren't high on the wish list.

I've got the full run of Scot's Guards, as well as the 4 common Super Deetail Para's. Still a couple of each Super Deetail S.A.S. & Marines to find.

Series one Star Guard are pretty much covered too:

See these I love. Never had them as a kid but they always fasincated me. The ones I always saw were in the usual Britains red boxes so the outside looked no different to a tractor but inside it was just mentalism with the vehicles with crazy inny and outy suckers. Either way they looked amazing, especially some of the alien figures. Sadly I sold all I had a while ago and am struggling to make room for anything else in the attic room.

Wish I still had my Airfix Stalwart. Must keep my eye open for one now you've reminded me. Great collection. That gift set must be worth quite a bit.

Cheers guys :-)

I've no clue as to the sets current value, I paid £30 for it around 10 years ago (from an old record dealers shop in Norwich).
I'd sold some bits 'n' pieces (boot fair finds) to the Star Wars Emporium which was situated around the corner so, in reality, it cost me very little.

The Stolly's always fascinated me as, not only does it look like something out of Thunderbirds, it can do this:

8)

last 'old soldier' shot for the time being:

I think every young lad in England (& Australia ;-)) must of had those Air-fix Germans :-D

Awesome stuff there.
Loved the Britains Star Guards as a kid, and thaht combat set - man, very jealous indeed.
I have a couple of Britains Herald, but they are on my list of stuff to buy... along with much else!

Nice work!
