and he certainly didnt use a whole roll of tape either.

He must have spent at least 2 minutes packing the thing! It was the best packing.

Thundershot...that is very funny indeed!

Contract Law states that because of the fact that you enter into a sale and completed the transaction is agreeing to the terms of sale. If you didn't agree with the price you shouldn't have paid for it. There were many other bidders that would have been grateful for such a bargain!

I'd have been happy to give them the 2nd chance to purchase. Also if you were to have negotiated the Postage price I would have happily sent the item with minimal packing. No thick cardboard box and no paper padding. However the item would have most likely been damaged in transit.

There is associated costs with the delivery which you dismiss. i.e. The Packaging Box which has been paid for - whether it was reused is completely irrelevant. It has incurred a cost to myself which I passed to you.

Postage = £4.41
Paper Packing = £0.30
Cellotape = £0.29
Postage Box = £ 5.00
My Time = Free of charge - (1 hour driving around the countryside!)
My Petrol = Free of charge - (Best part of £5.00)

I've been extremely reasonable and I consider the matter closed.
Tooly McToolerson from Toolsville, Tooland. £5 for a reused packing box! Thats a good one!

Possible responses:

Cellotape:
  • Could you please send me proof of purchase? I am not going to pay for something you knicked from work.
  • If it was cheap cellotape: For 29p I expect to receive the rest of the roll.
Postage box:
  • You think it normal to charge 100% for something second hand? In that case, would you mind buying my 1992 Nissan Patrol? The fact that it has 80.000 miles on the clock is totally irrelevant.
Time:
  • If you don't want to spend time, stop selling, chuck your goods in the bin and get it over with. It will save you loads and loads of time.
  • It's not my problem you start your auctions and then skive off.
  • The sight of the countryside is priceless this time of year and you got to see it for free, so I think you owe me a tenner for seeing such blooming beauty!
And just for laughs: I would sent this seller a link to this topic! :D

A few years ago there was this similar idiot on eBay who was charging like a maniac. If you would order an accessory for 50 cents he would surcharge you ridiculous amounts: time behind PC, staples, charge you per mile to postoffice, envelope, padding, sticker for address, etc. Besides that, he using pictures from YoJoe (watermarked and all) on eBay, but still had the guts to claim they were his. Total idiot: David Allan Hruska

Yeah, please do link him to this thread (even though it's Members Only). I'd also add him to the Sellers to Avoid list.

What a guy, as you've paid 29 pence for cellotape I would request he send you the rest of the roll as it's yours now anyway, also charge him extra admin costs for sending emails and loss of earnings, he also owes you extra for loss on life hours, what a twat.
CIA got you pushing to many pencils.

Thing is, he'll have to consider the costs of the postage and packaging if he sends you the rest of the sellotape, so you'll end up owing him money.

So, if the box was recycled..how much (price wise) did he know to charge you for it?

..or was that how much he was charged for postage by the person who had previously used the box to post it?
More news, as its made, from new Action Force!
