Hi Eddie, I've found this place is pretty good for advice on spotting fake weapons:
http://www.imperialgunnery.com/
Vintage Star Wars figure prices have really tumbled since all the who-ha of the prequels has died down, with many of the common characters being well on par with new action action figures price wise.
Supply of 80's stuff seems to have out-striped demand &, except for the truly rare ones, even 'last 17' have become affordable..nowadays about the same or even cheaper than some of the repainted

Joe's that drive U.S. fans into such a tizzy.

I've noticed the price drop I've been placing low bids of £1 to £1.50 on figures and won every bid, crazy. 13 figures and 2 small vehicles for under £30 with postage. The equivalent in Action Force/joe terms would mean 3 to 5 figures.

Incomplete figures shouldn't be any more than £2 loose, complete ones with authentic weapons shouldn't be any more than £15 (eg Snowtrooper) really. Some will come in expensive (eg the Leia's with their original guns) but most should be sub £10. The last 17 vary from £20 (Anakin) to £100 (Yak Face and Amanaman). Prices have fallen since the late 90s though many 'collectors' have stupid ideas around pricing to be honest, the Vinyl Caped Jawas are rocketing upwards now with some demanding up to £400 for a good example.
Loose is a gamble though as I have gotten MOC examples cheaper than their loose brothers.

I won't be going nuts with it, It'll be a small homage to go with a few other toy lines that I intend to...I've already said to much.

'I won't go nuts'
I've heard that before. If you do want any info let me know. Avoid The Ewoks line though its pretty naff.

Righto
I plan to get the first lot and then TESB and ROTJ figures I had as a lad. Nothing after that. Of course I said I'd never get Series 1 AF either, only 3 to go there now. Sigh.

I was the seller of the carded Medic and was over the moon with what it went for.
Originally i was expecting £15-£20 tops.
The wife was watching it and when she shouted out £44 i rushed upstairs by which point the auction had finished and it had gone to £55.Felt like i'd won the lottery.
