As an aside if you haven't bought the latest Command and Conquer don't it's the worst one ever! You can't build big armies and you have to use command points to build units and there appears to be no easy way of gaining them. Really poor.
Since you are into RTS I guess you may have tried Company of Heroes (vanilla and expansion packs)? I love this game and have played countless hours in Skirmish mode and with friends in LAN games :-D (sorry for ´jacking the thread a bit here)

C&C has really been the only one I have ever had a stab at. I was hooked for a long time on the ACE Combat games for the PS2. If I tried anything else I would just spend far too much time playing games. I wouldn't get anything else done............. But now you have mentioned them I may have a dabble :-D

ok well i've had BC2 for a couple of weeks now, story mode is pretty bloody good! online is also dare i say it better than MW2, no lag no host ended game, no screaming bitches ie little kids, i think it must be on a dedicated server or something. The only thing that lets it down is the fluidity in the way the game runs, you tend to get snagged up on the scenery and its not as glossy as MW2 but if it was it would certainly be a beater!

one of the best things is if there are any camping noobs in buildings you can blow up the walls of the house they are hiding in exposing them to be blasted with full on bullet penetration! you can raise buildings to the ground, destroy the scenery, missile or gun down trees in your way overall im enjoying this a lot more than MW2, if only they could of improved on COD4 and not ruined it with MW2!
