I was thinking of holding off on starting my vintage collection until the new year...but...which are the hard to find pieces that I should not pass up just in case I don't see them again for a while?
I gather the stand for Dusty's rifle is tricky to find as well as a complete Stormie.
Anything else? (I'm specifically talking about stuff from my wants list at the top of the thread)

complete Stormies are rare. as (apparently) is Dusty's bipod, but i got my Dusty w/one, so i dunno how lucky i was...
Alpine and Shipwreck complete are pretty rare too, i tihnk.
Snow Serpents complete are hard to find too sometimes.

Destros gun is also often missing as it's tiny, and sometimes his backpack too.
And the Eels are often missing bits too. If that's of any help.

there's a fantastic looking one on there now, just the bow string's broke. it's starting price was 1p!!!

Just finished compleating my 2nd
after years of looking for another short sword
's radio is also hard to find, as is a
Eels with an unbroken respirator pipe as they are extreamly fragile..I think the hardest piece to find would by Heavy Metal's radio mic, it could cost more than the tank it came he came with...plus I've never seen a complete Lift Ticket either as his mic's always missing too.

back pack ladder are often missing as well..any of the Colt .45 pistols from
are like Hens teeth too, most of mine have ones made by Marauder Gun Runners which look very good if a lttle too big,

What's a fair price for a vintage hooded cobra commander? Theres one on ebay for £11. Is that a bit strong?

Depends on the paint wear - it its in good nick and minimal paint wear on the gold id go higher than that...

The gold paint's the thing to look for it wears very easily, does he have his pistol too?

Yep, pistol is there but gold paint looks to be worn off.
