Really, the best plan is to convince them there is a viable market for a new Red Shadow range IMO. We looked into producing a set ourselves and the prices involved were just stupid. Hasbro already have the production and promotion capabilities to hand, I strongly feel that anything we do as independent agents could hinder any prospective negotiations.

I've noticed a lot of interest from Joe fans when figure photo's are posted on flickr.. & the "knock-off" vipers may help to convince Hasbro too, if they think they could make money from it, I often think ,Hasbro would release a figure of thier own granny.

I'm sure it'll happen. We had the Quarrel-painted Scarlett last year and the SAF Blades this year. Interest in the DDP Shads is still strong, if we can pull off a successful UK Joe convention I'm sure Hasbro will hear us out.

if i win the 90m euromillions tonight i plan to offer Hasbro £2million to produce a version Shad and a Crimson Guard repurposed as a Shad officer.

a further £1million will be deposited in an account for Jim to fund the con, provide accommodation for members from here and pay for Chops and DA's plane fares.

Just wondered has why Hasbro have never chosen to do anything with the Palitoy AF? Or have they ever been approached to sell the rights? If they don't intend to do anything with them what is the purpose of sitting on it for all these years? Forgotten about or disreagarded? How close a copy could be gotten away with? One lottery win and I would definetley test the water.

This is where I think Character have missed a trick with not releasing 3 3/4" figures from the HM Forces range. I think that with the modern approach of maybe tv cartoon & video game it could work.
I know Little Humby loves the Palitoy stuff even though the limbs are straight but I do also concede that any new version of for todays children would have to be movable limbed. Although I am struggling with how the cartoon could come across due to today's political correctness.

I've noticed that kids do seem to perfer playing with the old straight limbed Palitoy figures over the new hyper detail multi limb modern stuff for some reason...I think it maybe something to do with less detailing meaning they can really use thier imagination in making the toys come to life during play?
Plus, I think the fact that most soldiers look like a generic "every-man" helps, just like the old Actionmen, they all looked the same but every childs own one was special to them.
