Dont Humby!! Stop learning right now! Variants are a dark path, and once you step down that road collection completion will be but a mocking Utopia!

If you could make a wish and have whatever your objective is, in terms of your collection, completed would you make it? The other choice is potentially never accomplishing your goal, and to spend a lifetime trying to track those few elusive items down? The satisfaction of completness or the thrill of the hunt, that is the question.

Very philosophical GP! Very true too!

My "make a wish" would be for the 6 MOC's that I need to complete Series 1,2 & 3, and I would take it, but that's because there are times these days that I get tired of the hunt. Those 6 would complete what I originally set out to do. Anything after that is window dressing for me.

I think at times I would definately love to have every single Firefly, resin/ test shot/ prototype etc. I have recently acquired 3 I hadn't seen before, and 1 that is a very close match to one I have already. I shelled out alot more than I would have liked to, but having never seen them before, who knows when they would next surface again. But knowing I would never again have the joy of landing another piece of the puzzle, the excitement of opening a parcel after the anxious wait, I would have to decline.

What are the 6 your missing? Have any of them come up recently?

My missing MOC six (recently reduced down from "the missing MOC 8") are:-

Jungle Fighter
Night Patrol
Doc
Flash
Snowjob
Scrap Iron

So you can see, my collection may never be complete! Or if it is, my wallet will be a lot lighter. But to be honest, I never even thought I'd get this close, and at one stage came VERY close to selling my series 1 and 3 stuff, as I thought I'd never get a "full set". Really pleased I didn't though.

I'm starting to feel like Lovejoy - scouring the web, rather than antique shops though, for the slightest lead on any of these items! And then swiftly "minimising" the window if the better half comes in the study! ;-)

I like to think she is more Lady Jane than Tinker Dill!

Although after Deadwood I still cant watch Lovejoy without inserting "Cocksucker" after most of Lovejoys sentences..

He was indeed. I've got the cardback at home. Just not the fig MOC.
