Mixing black in also keeps in with the Red Shadows colour scheme which is what I did with my Red Laser custom humby.

Yeah that is with keeping of the original concept and even though I am not keen on the Modern stuff I like that one you did. What I meant though was about camouflage rather than uniform colour. I am tempted to do camouflage Shadow stuff but keep thinking it just is'nt what they were about.

It's fun to modernise the look of the Shadows try a camo pattern if it doesn't work you can always re-paint it.

I don't think I will as they were never about camouflage always Hi Viz red. There is always the problem that it could remind me of some of those garish corps camo's.

Then again a figure in hand can look fantastic, stick it in a photo and the colours come out different.
I may go back to the red and white camo scheme.
Customs are about what you feel looks good, it sits on your shelf for you to admire and enjoy.
