God save us from the evil smell of strawberries.
Bit of useless information, did you know when the Action Man SAS was released the entire delivery smelt of strawberries because they were made in the same Hong Kong Factory that made the Strawberry Shortcake dolls, so they to put the stuff in a special oven to try and neutralise the smell.
I remember that smell because my little sister had the dolls (strawberry sghortcake not SAS) and they stank, if any of you can remember back to when girls in your class at school used to collect scented erasers if had the same sickly smell

The cosmic cruiser prototype looks like the cruiser in the first comic (see top right):

More intriguingly, the satellite in that comic (top right, and bottom center) looks just like the display piece in the top right of the second page of the catalogue.
Does anyone think maybe they were thinking of selling this as another cardboard base? Maybe this was a prototype too? It's not mentioned, but it is built to much more detail then the generic background below it, and it appears in the comic in exactly this form.

I think so, these comics only exisited to reinforce the Action Force brand in order to shift more toys, maybe it was dropped as it was too hard to build from cardboard if supplied as a flatpackautomuton wrote:The cosmic cruiser prototype looks like the cruiser in the first comic (see top right):
