i think ross thinks Karabiner is similar in pronunciation to Caribbean.

Baron, I think Ross doesn't want his chara to fall in the same category as Black Lightning, Black Panther and other African-Americans with "black" names. Despite I liking both Jefferson and T'Challa, I also find their names a bit racist.
