are you kidding me?! paul set more in stone than i did, i dont think it should only be palitoy action force 1,2,3!
thats bullshit, make it more open!
please look @ the headings on this page: http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/toys/index.html
one entry per person makes it way more simple, other wise it's not a contest, it's a free for all which is fine, but we have that already! post what you want, you wanna post 10 a month fine, but only enter your fave into the contest.

i hope people are interested, it's been talked about for months so im just gonna post something & i hope people take part.
i want this open to everyone:

2 comps, one for figs, one for vehicles, vehicles are allowed any crew you want to include.

should be AF or G.I. Joe RELATED.
one entry per comp per member
you cant vote for yourself!
comp will start on the 1st july
voting will run from 25th - 31st, results on 1st august.
when you post pics of your custom you should also post a description.
no comments about customs until after votes are in, the thread should be just for posting customs.

judge fairly, this is a friendly comp, think about how cool the idea/concept is as much as the finished result.
a lot of palitoy fans on here, me included but please dont just vote for palitoy customs, this would get very boring if that was all there was!

you guys have to acknowledge that true AF was very short lived, by wave 2 there were Joes mixed in, even if renamed, by 3 it was pretty much just G.I. Joe renamed Action Force! Keep it fair, allow both & more people will enter.
if Joe sites allow AF customs, you would be an arse to not allow G.I. Joe customs on here. a lot of you guys complain about the american forums, but now they are starting to seem more accepting!

dont vote for something just because it is palitoy/af, vote fairly or dont bother.

one question, should you be allowed to enter a squad into the figure contest? or just singles?

f*ck it then, it's official:
U.S. forums are more open than here.

if it's stricly AF then should i just not bother posting any of my customs or my dio?

Not everyone has Palitoy figures it's Ross' concept so go with what he says if this site is going to be anti-GI Joe then there is no point in doing archives with Joe figures or most of us showing what we have made or bought. The movie is posted on the home page so there is no way this is JUST a Palitoy range site.

Ironblood, before you and Ross started posting, maybe 5 months back, we were very much a predominantly Action Force-based forum.

You two guys have swung things in a different direction recently because you both post so much.

For me, I grew up knowing [and loving!] only Action Force.

It's only relatively recently that I learnt about GI Joe, but for me, AF, is where my childhood nostalgia is and anything else just doesn't really 'do it' for me...

thank you ironblood, some common sense!
sunbeam, you are the one actually raving about the movie, havent you booked time off work for it?
if you guys are that against this, i'll post it on my blog if you want.

paul, i dont know what to say to you, should we just leave? i dont see why i cant involve both.
try complaining to the baron, maybe you can get us kicked out.
i can set my blog up for this if general consensus is against this i'll just f*ck off.

I was the same Paul but I didn't have many of the Palitoy figures it's just GI Joe became predominant and that is what I grew up with this site has now been noted as an AF/Action Man/GI Joe site go round other boards Jamar and the Baron post on them too. I left here for awhile because I couldn't really join in where BAF was concerned. How about you run a palitoy custom competition then but we will also run with Ross idea first.

For what it's worth I agree with leaving it open - af, joes, anything. Just cos I know bugger all about joes doesn't stop me appreciating a good joe custom - I just sometimes ain't got a clue what I'm looking at!!
Lets Keep it open and keep it fun guys! The votes are very individual and a personal choice.

I think Ross took on board most of what Paul said, I think one entry per person is fair and post what you like as long as you've done something to it rather than just renamed it, and once customised its AF / Joe related?

If you dont like ARAH era stuff then vote for something you do like, its surely as simple as that? The vast majority of customs posted here are based on series 1 2 or 3 concepts or factions regardless of what they are made from so I dont see the problem?

Were a pretty friendly board here so im sure the votes will be fair and reflect peoples efforts as well as ideas...
