it confuses me this whole rare business, i've brought things in the past that i would assume i'd never get due to only ever being sold in the US but have got them, are there such rare items? If so what are they?

I found a boxed cardboard Death star on ebay.com and won it for £20! It was being sold by a Brit living in America and I got it so cheap as the yank collectors were'nt interested in anything but their own plastic Hasbro one.
