I'm with you mate. I'd never go out of my way to get a Roboskull. Its just.... yuk. Tho if someone offered my a MIB one I'd not say noLady Jaye wrote:100% complete, MOC or MISB: 1 Baron Ironblood, 1 Black Major, ±25 Red Shadows (UK & German), handfull of Mutons and Red Wolves, 3 Red Lasers with cannon (2 UK & 1 German), 5 Shadowtraks (3 UK & 2 German), 1 Escape Armour.
Next to that a few incomplete Krakens. No need to complete these as I really hate the figure. That's also the reason why I don't have Skeletron or Roboskull: I don't collect stuff that sucks.

I have a Skeletron, that's enough, but I have to say I love the look of Kraken. Yeah, he's odd. But the green/red/black looks really cool. Muton is of course, legendary.

I know the Triad and Sharc are far from aerodynamically correct, but a skull? Tie fighters have futuristic gadgetry to get around the problem, by 1980's terrorists...... I can't see it.Golden Puma wrote:A red mean as fifty flying skull for chrissakes, what's not to love????

Re: Shadow army..
The Roboskull would fly due to the sheer brute power of it's atomic powered rocket engines.
Maybe it could of been to be the start of something massive, like the robots out of Star Fleet or Power Rangers..you know, Roboskull acting as the head & some sort of tank for the torso..Jeeps for legs....one man armoured ski mobiles for arms....small boys playing footie in the park, jumpers for goal posts..um isn't it?
Than again it may of just been the Star Wars inspired fantasy craft we all know & (some of us) love.
Just thinking of how the Shadows were developing into more of a Sci-Fi/fantasy based toy line/enemy during wave 2,
,
& co makes me ponder how more far-out they'd of became in later years if Palitoy had still been in business?
Perhaps Dave's research may reveal how wierd things could off gotten?

Fraid you need to get a bit of a draft under a wing to give it lift!Thundershot wrote:The Roboskull would fly due to the sheer brute power of it's atomic powered rocket engines.
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?
Re: Shadow army..
they're tilt-wings. the engines are positioned vertically and lift them off the ground and then the wings rotate, pointing the engines rear-ward and provide thrust.
that's how i explained it in my fan-fic anyhoo...
