Seriously man, you are over-reacting. I have indeed read the last three pages, and everyone has been polite, practically embarassed at having to disagree with you, nobody has insulted you or laughed at your prices. I swore at you because you completely ignored me.
BFTB is one of the friendliest forums in the Collecting Community, you'd have been flamed for your attitude on other sites, and warned, maybe even banned, on others. Feel free to upload your pictures and complete inventory, some collectors keep their toys near-pristine, in which case the extra penny is justified.
As a new person joining this site last year and casual forum observer, I can say that I am blown away with kindness and the welcoming nature of this site all round.
I spent the last nine years scratching around for spares on eBay and the like before I came here. Within one week I had people offering me spares for free as a favour!
I got sent a UK Tiger Force Blizzard rifle for nothing! In return, sometime later I gave the generous guy a yellow petrol can from the SAS Panther he was after for a completion.
I'm sure you long term guys have more impressive stories, but I just wanted to mention that my experience here has been nothing but positive.
I think you have all been polite to this guy and got it thrown back in your face. Having said that, a lot of people are under pressure during this economic meltdown. Maybe he lost his job or something?
Anyway, keep up the good work!

Sorry, but you are really turning things around.
You accuse us of being rude, but the only one showing rude behaviour is you. Everybody is being polite, very polite. You say we are out to get a bargain, but we are only saying that your prices are a little high. Nothing more, nothing less.
You are open to offers, but do you really expect anybody wants to buy anything from you now? Even for free I would pass your stuff right now. Just put it on eBay. You have been threatening with that for pages. Go ahead, do it...

Oh dearer Me!,
I can see your wanting a price that you feel is fair to you, and thats fine no problem, the market on ebay goes up and down, sometimes you can get a apc one week cheap and next expensive, i have been trading on ebay on and off for over 6 years now, i started collecting hmm about 13/14 years ago, mainly star wars then moved onto gi joe, sadly went through abad time 3 years ago had to sell my £thousands£ collection, so now i suppose i class myself as a dealer, i use the bftb community, to swap mainly stuff i need to sell on, in the past we havent agreed on prices/swaps, and thats fair, what seems fair price to me might not be to another, but hey thats life. The one thing i will say in defense on ebay, you hit a bigger crowd, most of my sales now are oversea`s so i wish, and truely do, all the best with your sales..by all means briefly check out my shop on ebay to see what i sell gi joes at:-

I know you are open to offers, however I would feel uncomfortable making an offer on any of these items because my offer would probably be about a third of your "price in mind" also offers cant be made on something that cant be seen.
this hits the nail on the head. i wouldnt insult you by making you an offer that i know you would refuse. i am looking for a cobra officer but i wont go over the £10 mark but you're looking £50.
SINGABEER sells gijoe on ebay but he has still done me some incredible deals and even he thinks your prices are too high.
i would recommend you have a look at ebay prices because theres no point wasting your time and money.
the guys and gals here are cool and its the only forum i post on because its so welcoming so maybe you should ask yourself why the negative reaction.
this is a forum for AF collectors to talk some sh*t and have a laugh and if you want to join in and participate you are welcome but when 99% of people tell you something maybe you should listen.

sf1378 wrote: You seem to think Im moaning over prices, well, 3 pages of you lot whinging over it seems a bit hypocritical....Thanks for the 'hearty welcome' guys and gal but it seems ebays the way forward, especially as this so called 'fun hobby not a business' can garner such snide reactions as this. I repeatedly asked you lot to simply PM me with offers, but instead I got moaning....so, ebay it will be.
Judging by the feedback you have received as a seller on ebay, I dont think its a case of us moaning about high prices, its seems more a case of you moaning about low prices !
It has been politely suggested that your attitude is an issue, yet you are still "blaming" us ?
Reading your responses to negatives you have received as a seller ....... who is moaning over prices here ?
"STINGY PRAT WANTS ITEMS NEXT TO NOTHING. PAID AND GOT ITEM-TOTAL IDIOT"
"BASICALLY WANTED ITEM FOR NEXT TO NOTHING. GET A LIFE SADDO!"
"YEP. ADMIT IT. YOU WANT STUFF FOR NEXT TO BLOODY NOTHING? GET A LIFE SADDO."

Wow.. I can't believe how this post has developed, this is the first time I've ever seen any sort of bad carma on this forum site..I've not been a member for very long, but i've always found everyone very friendly & welcoming on this site..thats why joind up..I can understand if SF1378 gets annoyed about having to sell his collection @ a loss but this a fan site & not eBAY,If he wanted advice about what a fair price was, then fair enough, but to start to start a slanging match when people are politely telling him he's being a bit over optimistic price wise is just plain wrong! Baron can you you do anything to stop this sort of thing from happening again?

i have been following this thread with interest, i really have no real opinion on the whole price issue, except to say this, i haven't been on the forum or collecting for any great time, but the people on this site are genuine action force enthusiasts, helpful friendly and fun, it's safe to say most on here are in their thirties and maybe a bit more, but as an adult constructive criticism is something that happens to everybody, it's entirely up to you how you take it. But don't take it to heart, they are trying to help you, if you don't like it, try a less aggressive approach. It only makes you look like a spoilt child, you may not see it but it really does.

Thundershot, all I can really think of would be to create a "rough-guide" to pricing, but as condition and completion vary so wildly it would be pretty hard to maintain. Not to mention taking a lot of the fun out of it!
Really, the place ticks over nicely on it's own. Every once in a blue moon someone gets arsey, or somebody takes a joke too far, etc. and I have to mod. up to nip it in the bud, but I'd really rather not make a habit of it.
For all that's been said, SF1378 is still welcome here. He's made a bit of a fool of himself but no real harm has been done.

Thanks Baron,I agree, once you start to take this hobby too seriously with grading & "Keller" matrices(see Rebelscum.com) it's time to stop, that's why this is the first forum I've ever joined, nice & friendly down to earth folk who can see the silly side to this collecting lark...I think all of us here are in it for the love of it, not the money.

good to hear that baron! If making a fool of oneself led to being kicked out i'd have been booted out ages ago! In fact, it'd be like a ghost town round here I'm sure!!!
