Luckily enough I carried on buying star wars figures even when I was too old for them !!

so 90% of my star wars collection I bought as new in the early eighties !

I filled the gaps later on in life, and replaced the playworn ones !

I saw the pic on the front so I wasnt too remedial! Think I just kept coming up with variations on sand / soldier / man... I have a vivid picture of knocking on the bathroom door while my brother was on the toilet, telling him his name was now sand soldier or something...

that troop transporter was way ahead of its time !!!!

it actually spoke !! it was like something from the future !

I would love to get one of those and paint it red and fill it full of red Shadows !!!!!!

For that first star wars xmas and birthday I think I had most minor characters and vehicles that never appeared in the films! I didnt get a darth vader and X-Wing till the next year.

I've thought painting the transporter red but 6 shadows sitting up like that would be a bit too far fetched even for me...

The Kraken Wakes wrote:I just assumed there was one. I only had about 12 star wars figures and had no idea what star wars was when I got my first figs for xmas. I kept making up names for the sandtrooper then on Boxing day someone pointed out the name on the card...

Im sure when I got my first Tusken raider figure it said "sandpeople" on the card

I thought I had been ripped off because it said "people" and not "person"

should I have got two ???? ....... bloody palitoy !!!!!
