im hoping there are boxed sets left as it will keep ebay prices kind of sensible to pick up loose shads but also would be nice if it were the first to sell out straight away for while / ever? the club store always seems to have some in stock for a few months at least.
anyone found jamars Red Dawn poster yet?

If anything is left over it will be offered thru the club's store, but the past 2 sets had lower numbers, so check their site often after the show's over.

Which means Murdoch or Mrs Slocombe can make a cameo as the mystery staff car chauffeur. I love it when a plan comes together.
Looking at Interrogator's 3 3/4" version of the old foreign soldier head, I am reminded of Robert Shaw's Red Grant in From Russia With Love, an equally villainous character:
Also, club staff said it was not another known character in disguise under the helmet, that's just a first time reveal of what Interrogator looks like. The club story is trying to be respectful of original Red Shadows filecards and comic stories (hence details like Dolphin's rank & quote, etc.) but tiptoeing around major plot discrepancies like Ironblood's vastly conflicting history rewrites.

Man, I'm almost afraid to post. Didn't expect 15 pages of posts in 24 hours. If I post now, will it just be buried by 3 more pages in the next 15 minutes????
Lot to respond to though.
First off, DON'T expect to see a Baron Ironblood from the club anytime soon. They've only added to a convention set after the fact once as far as I can recall. That was the club membership Undertow that went with the MARS Attacks set. They are not known for revisiting themes to fill out things they missed the first time around.
Second, give the Club web store about a week. Their entire staff goes to the convention. So no one is back in Texas to answer phone's fill orders, or update the site. What ever is left over after the Con is generally posted about 1 to 11/2 weeks later. Generally all except the free attendee exclusive, and occasionally the Para-drop figure are NOT available, but everything else almost always is.
The SAF thing. I'm certain that's a copyright issue. SAS is a real organization. Obtaining the rights to make a few 100 figures for 1 event (OK, 2 events) just isn't worth it. Q-Force, and Z-Force are more than likely owned by Hasbro, or at least much easier to get the rights to. Since SAF now stands for Special Action Force, I think that's the clubs "umbrella" name for the team, but Dolphin and Natalie are still part of the "sub-team" Q-Force.
As for the offerings themselves. I like them all, I think they are all cool. But not one item is home run.
It's been mentioned that American collectors only really care about the Hasbro Action Force figures, so it makes sense to base the Con figures on those. I have to disagree. I've got most of the Palitoy Action Force figures, and I really wanted to see THOSE characters updated. But more importantly, most American collectors that collect international Joe's, already have Jammer, Gaucho, and Dolphin.
I would have liked to see the Kayaks in Q-Force yellow, or blue. But I don't find the black, or the figures offensive in any way. Natalie has a Q-Force blue shirt, while still retaining the look of her 12 inch character. The 2nd Dolphin was gray, now the 3rd Dolphin is gray. Where's the issue with that. I think he's a nice update, and probably the best figure in the set.
The Z-Force set . . . eeeehhh . . . I could take it or leave it. Like I said, there are already Hasbro versions of Jammer, and Gaucho. There's what, like 25 Palitoy characters they COULD have used in their stead. And why retro fit Lifeline into Z-Force? If the name's an issue just call him something else, but don't make him a previously established "different" character.
Finally, where's this rumor of 1 Joe and 1 Cobra per set come from? I think I heard it mentioned here when they first showed Flint, and Interrogator a few months back. But that's it, I've NEVER heard that rule anywhere else, and I've been to a lot of the conventions.
