I'm in my 30's, living in the San Francisco area with my wife and 3 kids. I remember in the mid-80s being fascinated at the large covers of Action Force (Marvel UK) in my comic shop. I finally bought one, and was devastated that (to my 12 year old eyes) it was just a reprint--that soured me for years! I've always been a fan of GI Joe, and I remember lurking around this board years ago and being mildly interested. It wasn't until I bought "Now You Know" by Lars Pearson that I read his synopsises (sp?) of the Marvel UK original stories, and decided to collect them all. In doing that, I re-discovered this site, and worked into the wee night reading the Battle Action Force strips posted here.

Although I love Larry Hama's Joe, I find that the UK version of Joe captures a certain gritty picture of the struggle and the terrorists that our comics never have. I'm also dying to read more about Q, Z, and SAS force stories.

Anyway, thanks for a great site!

Muton wrote::muton: Hello all, I am the one person who loved the Mutonn figure as a child!
Is Muton really that unloveable? I have adopted one (begged from Eddie's collection) - he's a bit chewed but he's mine

Mutons reign supreme! Their alleged lack of value is all part of the Baron's campaign of disinformation.

Look at the number of times this thread has been vistited. 33,222 as I typed this. That's a lot of visits.

And it bizarrely seems the main sites visits have gone through the roof since it's been down.

Hi, my name is Ross & im from the UK but i have been living in hong kong (i run a tattoo studio here) for 4 years.
collected action force figures/comics when i was a kid, unfortunatly my mum threw out everything, all i have left are the small action force comics that came free with wheatabix!
i do some work for a US toy company, + i customise figures. have just started making a red shadow army led by black major using 25th anniversary joe figures. modernised, to fit in with current joe figures. they are pissed & want revenge by destroying cobra comander for his treachery when he converted from baron ironblood to cobra comander.
i have also just started working on the coloring for an action force comic strip for this site.
does anyone have pics of the new red shadows? i just need to see em!
:enemy:
