Sundance, you are on your first warning. Two more and you are barred. This is not up for debate.

Reading through this as an impartial observer, I am choosing to penalise you and not Ross SC for the simple reason that he remained level-headed and reasonable, while you took it all personally. You went too far. For the record, you can insult me as much as you like, I don't particularly care. When you insult my family I'll take your teeth out.

Ross mentioned that you have rubbed several people here the wrong way. I'm sorry to have to break it to you but he is right, myself included. I have had several PMs about your behaviour. I have been letting it slide in the hopes it would blow over but if anything, you have been getting worse.

Now, I've gone through your posts and other than todays outburst, I cannot in all honesty find any malice in there. What I have found in abundance is bluntness. You may not realise it, but you come across as very rude indeed. The majority of your posts are made to correct people and I'm telling you now as a friend it is a bad habit that you need to break.

But I genuinely believe it is unintentional, so if we can lay this matter to rest here and now then I am happy to move on. There may be a few other ruffled feathers you need to address. I advise you to take a time out and reflect upon some of your conversations here. By way of example: Actually.

I would also look to the replies you have been getting, there is a fair amount of exasperation in there. I myself gave up on sarcasm and subtlety as it just bounces off you. This really only leaves me with the option of being blunt in return, which could easily be construed as being petty, so I have been biting my tongue. I have to admit that my enjoyment of the site has been affected as a result.

So please, for the good of the community, check your head. Otherwise you are likely to be ostracised. I hope I have been fair, as I say I am not willing to debate this.

Essentially, please stop criticising people, Sundance. BFTB has a reputation as one of the friendliest forums on the internet and I would like to keep it that way.
i've never been trying to criticise people. i've attempted to correct people's misapprehensions or misconceptions. i've been trying to be helpful.

as far as Ross is concerned, i like the customs he makes. they're not always to my tastes, but he's clearly a talented chap. i don't particularly like the rather arrogant way he slagged off the Wolverine movie. which was why i, i guess some what snottily, said everyone has an opinion and they're like assholes. and that i would see it and make up my own mind. what he said was no different than what i've said about B5 or the trek movie. i really don't see why me, somewhat sarkily, asking how he would adapt a 40 year old comic or 1100 page novel without changing it necessitated him calling me a retard. a word i don't particularly like, even when i myself have used it occassionally.

furthermore, i actually criticised myself above for being one of the whiny internet fanboys who hates a movie for the changes it made. go on, go back and read what i said again. i'll wait.

see? i said i hate people bitching about changes made, EVEN THOUGH I'VE DONE IT MYSELF.

furthermore, i find your criticism of me using the word 'actually' to be funny considering your search results turned up me using it in my fan-fic, quoting some one else and using it to describe how the original Transformer toys were created. AND for expressing a positive opinion of Eddie's tattoo.

and if we wish to discuss idiot name calling, i find it laughable that i'm being criticised when you quite cheerfully act like an eight year old with your derisory comments about joniyojoe or what ever his stupid ass name is. i don't like the bloke's buying habits. you CLEARLY don't. i, however don't worry about it. YOU seem to expend a huge amount of energy ripping the piss every time he gets mentioned. and if i was him, i wouldn't want to join this forum. you're not exactly setting a very good example there, are you?

finally, SteveD, i like you. you're funny. Andy, I like you too. nice customs and thanks for your help. zakkfan, i like you or i wouldn't keep buying from you. Paul, great customs. love em. Chopper, likewise. forgive me the comedy Aussie post? TKW, i'm sorry you didn't like my rebooted Kraken. Thundershot, tintin, Golden Puma, thanks for the stuff I've bought from you. Space Commander, you seem like a nice bloke, but our opinions clearly differ on Trek. The Baron, great site. thanks for the chance to read the comics and find out what my stuff is after i forgot.

Right there. You corrected me again. It's very annoying. My 'Actually' comment was an exaggerated example, stop being so literal. If you really can't see it then I don't know how to help you. I gathered all along that you were trying to be helpful, but that is not how you come across. When you bluntly correct someone it feels like criticism.

johnigoe73 is not a forum member. He is welcome to join up here but he better be ready to take a joke because he has made himself infamous. If he was a forum member I would treat him like everybody else.

The matter is closed, Ross has even taken back his Retard remark. If I were you I would take the comments on board and move along.

Goodness only knows how we are perceived by others on boards and remember that it's easy to take umbrage at text versions of conversations. Both Ross and sundance wear their hearts on their sleeves and I rather like that as an attribute. However the baron has summed the situation up well and bill also highlights the importance of moving on too.

Trekkies are passionate fans often and this it's easy to disagree though dr who fans are just as bad on forums. I liked wolverine as a movie but trek is a lot better and has rekindled my interest in a dead franchise.

Here's Trelane so far - the lower half of the face, the forehead and hair and the ruffle and collar were all done in milliput.
