oh, and no, i am not 'straight edge'. i don't drink alcohol because i don't like the taste and see no sense in wasting money on drinking crap i don't like merely to get 'the effect'. i don't smoke because i was put off at an early age by my father who smoked. it made me feel positively ill. and i don't do drugs because, a)they're illegal and b) i wouldn't know where to get any and c) i don't like the idea of consuming substances that alter my body chemistry and can cause major health issues, other than the usual crap like caffine, sugar and so on in normal food.

so, in other words, i'm a boring ass bastard who obeys the law.

LOL!

i have never called you boring, i was just insinuating that maybe the reason youre such a douche is that you are young.
i dont drink or smoke because i think it's cool, so i fail to see your point. i didnt drink for 5 years, but i wanst high & mighty about it like you seem to be!

obeying the law doesnt make you boring, thinking you know the answer to everything & being over opinionated does.

OK, I'm going to have to mod up and intervene here.

Sundance, you are on your first warning. Two more and you are barred. This is not up for debate.

Reading through this as an impartial observer, I am choosing to penalise you and not Ross SC for the simple reason that he remained level-headed and reasonable, while you took it all personally. You went too far. For the record, you can insult me as much as you like, I don't particularly care. When you insult my family I'll take your teeth out.

Ross mentioned that you have rubbed several people here the wrong way. I'm sorry to have to break it to you but he is right, myself included. I have had several PMs about your behaviour. I have been letting it slide in the hopes it would blow over but if anything, you have been getting worse.

Now, I've gone through your posts and other than todays outburst, I cannot in all honesty find any malice in there. What I have found in abundance is bluntness. You may not realise it, but you come across as very rude indeed. The majority of your posts are made to correct people and I'm telling you now as a friend it is a bad habit that you need to break.

But I genuinely believe it is unintentional, so if we can lay this matter to rest here and now then I am happy to move on. There may be a few other ruffled feathers you need to address. I advise you to take a time out and reflect upon some of your conversations here. By way of example: Actually.

I would also look to the replies you have been getting, there is a fair amount of exasperation in there. I myself gave up on sarcasm and subtlety as it just bounces off you. This really only leaves me with the option of being blunt in return, which could easily be construed as being petty, so I have been biting my tongue. I have to admit that my enjoyment of the site has been affected as a result.

So please, for the good of the community, check your head. Otherwise you are likely to be ostracised. I hope I have been fair, as I say I am not willing to debate this.

Essentially, please stop criticising people, Sundance. BFTB has a reputation as one of the friendliest forums on the internet and I would like to keep it that way.

i just wanna say that i think i took things too far. the comment i made in cantonese is a commonly used term over here, it's translation sounds worse than it's connotations over here.

It is one of the friendliest forums, and I congratulate the Baron on his Solomon like moderation skills.

I have made a trelane custom in 7" scale, so I will have to post it when finished.

Saw trek again last night and the theatre was packed to my surprise! Really enjoyed it again
