I shall have to tell my wife I'm not the only one . . . phew, I thought the garage full of useful boxes and large bits of card was me being kind of weird. Perhaps it is! But atleast I'm not alone ;-)

. . . I generally make every single package that I send stuff out in from old card and I'm pleased to say that no one has ever had a bad word to say about it. I think it's the approach that I package things as I'd like to receive them.

That said there are a lot of people on eBay that simply don't care of don't think when they send things through the post.

right another reply. I'll post his reply in full.....makes me laugh abit. Doesnt look like im going to get any joy with him...

Contract Law states that because of the fact that you enter into a sale and completed the transaction is agreeing to the terms of sale. If you didn't agree with the price you shouldn't have paid for it. There were many other bidders that would have been grateful for such a bargain!

I'd have been happy to give them the 2nd chance to purchase. Also if you were to have negotiated the Postage price I would have happily sent the item with minimal packing. No thick cardboard box and no paper padding. However the item would have most likely been damaged in transit.

There is associated costs with the delivery which you dismiss. i.e. The Packaging Box which has been paid for - whether it was reused is completely irrelevant. It has incurred a cost to myself which I passed to you.

Postage = £4.41
Paper Packing = £0.30
Cellotape = £0.29
Postage Box = £ 5.00
My Time = Free of charge - (1 hour driving around the countryside!)
My Petrol = Free of charge - (Best part of £5.00)

I've been extremely reasonable and I consider the matter closed.

£5.00 for a reused box? Oh yeah, very reasonable!

yeah my thoughts exactly. If its re-cycled surely its been sent to him somewhere along the line...which meant he didnt pay for it!

Oh well feedback it is then.

Well... I still wouldn't give him a negative. I reserve that for non-delivery or abusive comms.

I did, once, leave a feedback remark of:

: for a ebay seller who'd given me a bit of trouble, weather or not they spotted the subliminal message I don't know ;-)

I thought that too! I mean, surely everyone just nicks Sellotape from work these days? I even have to thieve in advance for Xmas, as our stationary lady hides it all as of November! So I always pinch a roll in October. Got to plan ahead folks. It's all in the planning!
