I think the film fundamentally was an attempt to entertain kiddies enough to buy the merchandise nothing more.

Yup. But did it work? The reason I got the night raven was because Aldi were flogging them for $20au. That's about 12 pounds. Methinks failed.....

Hasbro's objective was to make a movie to sell more toys. which, i believe worked to some extent in the US.

Paramount's objective was to make a movie to make money to create a franchise to make more movies and make more money. that was at least partially successful since they greenlit a sequel.

so it wasn't a complete fail.

This film should have been done in the 90's when Marvel still had the licence I remember reading in the letters pages of GI Joe they were talking about a live action film back then.
Spock, where the hell's the power you promised?

The first :ripcord: figure released for the movie was clad in his accelerator suit.
I liked the Paris chase, though I found it was the only part where :ripcord: behaved really dumb (he isn't so clumsy throughout the rest of the movie, despite that most people say). Obviously the reason why the suits weren't used again is because they were good for the chase, but a failure in close combat. Of course, fared better at the chase WITHOUT a Delta 6 suit, but that's because he's  .

It's an international Joe team. It doesn't remind me of ARAH. For me those two things make it worth buying for a fiver.
