The case of the Sorceress was the same as King Randor and the Horde Trooper: they were created as fiction-only supporting characters, but they became so well-known that Mattel released them as toys almost at the end of the toyline, though the Sorceress already had a toy: Teela in snake armor was her original version, the Goddess, while un-armored Teela was... Teela. That changed with the Sorceress redesign and now armored Teela is just Teela.
