No the link is spelled correctly. Sadly it's the URL that spelled wrong. And Facebook won't let you edit it, at least not without creating an entirely new page.

The Baron wrote:Best solution I can come up with is this:

[*url=http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/page ... ajaxpipe=1]Captain Cosmos Collectibles[*/url]

Which, without the two *, displays like this: Captain Cosmos Collectibles

Link tested and working.
Oh My God!!! I think I finally have it!!!

The link you found is actually my Mom's craft page, and not the actual Captain Cosmos page. I really had to study what you did to that link to alter the correct one. On my end it looks right, and it's going to the correct page.

I had already tried the link with and without the [url bit's on it, but neither version worked. So I wonder what the real difference is here?

For the moment I have both links in the signature until I know the right one works.

SO, DO BOTH links below work?

The first one does, the second one doesn't!

URL code can be used in two ways, I think this explains it a bit clearer: viewtopic.php?f=71&t=5408&p=55647#p55647

OK, I've edited the 2nd like AGAIN. It's the direct link to the Captain Cosmos Collectibles Facebook page, with the properly misspelled URL, and the exact coding shown in both examples provided. The link is not signed in through my account, and cookies are deleted. I can't imagine anything else I have control over.

The 3rd link is the same direct link with no fancy coding.

Link 1 still goes to "Crafty Tafty" as it should.

Does 2 or 3 work now?

Just added Captain Cosmos test 4.

For some reason there is some extra coding in the Crafty Tafty link that the Baron found that I can't find when I search for it. I can only search Facebook when I'm logged in as me, and the Crafty Tafty page has a much shorter URL than the one found. So MAYBE that extra coding is the problem? I've added it to the 4th test, even though I have no clue where it comes from.

2-4 all go to http://www.facebook.com/home.php

I tried searching facebook for CaptainComsosCollectibles and had 0 hits. Is it possible you have privacy set to US only or something?

All very weird. I did a http://www.google.co.uk search for 'Captain Cosmos Collectibles' and there it is clear as day. The first is your ebay page, the next two are from facebook, with the drop-down option of more facebook results. But they all redirect me to my own account!

I clicked on the Cached option by the first result, and it shows me the page! A snapshot from the 28th of June, apparently. That provides me with the link http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wincheste ... 0586099818, but again that also redirects me.

I hope you can unpick it using that against the Crafty Tafty link?
