I seem to have overlooked this, inadvertantly. got honking on Op Stubborn cos he was practically combat ineffective after one year back on the Mersey, shaggin Ms. Gerrard and sinking pints with Rooner's Dad and Uncle. He should have been on the range. As for the rest of us, we all wissen that the exception proves the rule. Besides is the exception to the Cobber rule, he is Boba Fett to their generic Ja-Ja Binks. Sorry, I am a shadows fan but I had to go for Cobra. The infighting within the Cobra Organization is too enjoyable!!

why can't we get this many people to vote over at IDW, if we vote for the RED SHADOWS over there we have a better chance of getting them in the comics!

Well im a big cobra fan but om gonna have to go with the Red Shadow on this one. They were more fanatical and fought to the death,where as cobra legions tended to retreat and surender quite fast.

Figure quality wise Cobra must win out, but for designs and back story I go with the Shadows and voted accordingly. I like the megalomaniacal "Bond villain" concept over the "disgruntled used car salesman" - It fits the 'larger than life' AF universe perfectly.

i dont know about figure quality being better,at first i thought the action force figures i saw on this site looked like redecoed star wars molds with hastly poor paint jobs,then i got them and was impressed with the detail and quality. As for the cobra's. Ive seen the first cobra figures and their all kinda lumpy. big heads and paint apps not very good,since i belive they came out about the same time,id call figure quality to be about even,cobra had a few more points of articulation but im sure if the line woulda continued it would have rivaled and possibly surpased the cobra universe. Now as to comics ,well its no contest the red shadow had way better quality of stories,mind i havent read them all yet, but still im impressed with the maturity of them. so all in all im sticking with my red shadow vote.

Well, I meant posability more than proportion, the latter of which was excellent on the Palitoy figures. Back when I was a nipper though, it was the posability (or lack thereof) that bothered me more. I even tried 'converting' a few Z-Force knee joints (and subsequently ruined them!). But now I'm older, I see things the other way round. Some of the old America ARAH Joes are hideous with their weedy limbs and melon heads, and I prefer the 'look' of the Shads with their realistic poses and well proportioned bodies.
