Right then chaps. So is the prices of original A team figures about to soar? Will there be new ones? Most likely I think. Narnia, Indy, Hulk, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Trek, etc, etc, etc all have shelves of unsold sh*t at the local TRU too.
As for remakes, I'm no horror fan but consider the 2 worst remake abominations to be Planet of the Apes and The Day the Earth stood still. A-grade remake sh*t. If you have a masterpiece to start with the copy will only ever pale in comparison. Those 2 films in particular were pivotal in Sci Fi history and they tried to remake it? Sheeesh, who was the brainless twat that thought that was a good idea? Considering the A team was B grade to start with, I am extremely doubtful this new film will come off. No one's mentioned Star Trek yet?

Star Trek isn't a remake more of a reboot and was ok Chopper. I saw on facebook that Spider-Man is getting rebooted as Sam Raimi can't come up with anything for a fourth film.

Bit soon for that isn't it? Christ I'm sick of origin stories. At least Bryan Singer had the brains to continue where Donner left off.

that's not strictly accurate. Raimi wanted to use the Vulture as the villain in SM4 with Black Cat, but the studio wanted to use someone else. tehy decided instead to sh*t-can Spidey 4 and go back to the start and - more particularly - stick him back in school.

They want to capitalise on the suck-cess of the last film and the success of the first 2 films apparently. With Walt Disney in charge of Marvel we might see mickey mouse in the part.

no, because Spider-Man's licensed to Sony and will stay there as long as they make a new movie every ~5 years same as the X-Men at Fox. the license for Daredevil's reverted to Marvel i believe. they're rebooting Fantastic 4.
Disney can't make Marvel movies using characters licensed elsewhere.

What, Disney and Marvel? Seriously?

Walt bought them out last year like the Time Warner company buying DC Comics.

Warner and DC wasn't a bad thing tho. At least they aren't in the habit of turning classic stories into touchy feely PC bullshit.
Goodbye Marvel I guess. Walt was a devout pacifist so I'd hate to think what he would thought of Marvel's buyout.
