I was looking at getting a year specific collection going but decided it's more fun to do sub teams instead.

Am I the only person who collects "just the ones I like" Action Force wise?, & not bothered about years, series/sub-series & other such nonsense..

I
think I should be ok. Anything past 88 is barely recognisable to me. I think by that time I'd discovered crack or women or cider or more likely dungeons & dragons or something.

i went:
"just gonna get Lady Jaye, always wanted her."
then:
"alright, I'll get Destro and the Baroness"
then:
"okay, I'll get an Eel, Snow Serpent, Viper and a BAT because my Cobra army's so small, oh, and I'll get Ripcord, Beach Head, Scarlett, Falcon and Hit&Run cuz I like those characters."
then:
"okay, I'm gonna get a Hydro-Viper and an Undertow and Torpedo cuz I like frogmen and I'll get Snow Job too..."
then it was
"I'm gonna get Super Trooper and especially Steel Brigade cuz I *really* wanted one of them. and Big Ben as he's British"
then I got Stalker v2 because it was one I'd wanted as kid and it was cheap...
then I decided I'd have a punt on a Barbecue and lost, so I decided i now REALLY wanted one, and I wanted Leatherneck, Red Star (since I had Big Bear), Heavy Duty (since I liked him in the movie and had nearly all the other movie Joes), Spearhead and Shockwave cuz I liked the figures and the Sci-Fi.
then I decided I'd like a Lowlight.
Now, I've decided I ought to have a round number, and I want Breaker to round out the movie Joes, so I've decided to get Charbroil and Tunnel Rat to make the squad from "The Lower Depths" with Spearhead & Max and Airtight. That'll make 44. I need to nail down who's going to be #45, but it's not a priority until next year.

I'm the same. Once I start collecting, I HAVE to have everything. I'm not sure that's normal, but even my DVD collection reflects that. Everything is in series or sets. Sigh.

Im exactly the same - it doesnt bother what year they are from etc I just collect what I like. Usually anything AF and most Joe stuff up to 85 is essential to me but there is a lot of interesting stuff post 85 - some late 80s and 90s stuff is also great for customisation as behind the colours there are some great designs.

I know what you mean. My missus says I've got Aspergers syndrome. She says the nicest things.

Yeah the Asperger's thing ... maybe it's why we are all here in the first place. Which is a good thing. According to Ebay, allegedly.
PS.

was an Aspy in the opposite way that
